Our flagship Leadership Immersions are designed to empower the next wave of ocean leaders through transformative learning experiences at sea. In hands-on, multi-day voyages aboard the OceanXplorer, students and professionals from a range of backgrounds gain practical skills, deepened perspective, and a global network committed to protecting the ocean. Guided by expert mentors, participants gain practical skills in marine science, vessel operations, and digital storytelling while underscoring the importance of marine biodiversity and the sustainable use of ocean resources.
The OceanX Hackathon is where ideas surface and futures take shape. Working in carefully curated, cross-disciplinary teams aboard the OceanXplorer and on land, participants collaborate with scientists and real mission data to turn ocean science into immersive learning experiences that reach and inspire global audiences. Together, these experiences are designed to spark ocean curiosity, open pathways into ocean careers and nurture the next generation of ocean changemakers.
Designed for emerging leaders aged 18–24, this multi-day immersion aboard the OceanXplorer places learners at the heart of ocean exploration. Through hands-on exposure to marine science, media, and vessel operations — supported by mentorship, leadership development, and peer collaboration — the program sparks curiosity, builds career-relevant skills and confidence, and empowers participants to become changemakers strengthening ocean and community resilience.
Designed for early-career professionals aged 25+ with up to five years of experience, Early Career Explorers is a multi-day immersion that deepens expertise at the intersection of science, advocacy, and collaboration.
