Education Programs
At OceanX Education, we believe ocean literacy should begin early, and be available everywhere. Our Classroom and Educator Experiences bring ocean science into learning environments around the world through livestreams and ocean exploration resources, as well as bringing students and educators aboard the OceanXplorer for immersive ship tours. These programs are designed to support teachers and practitioners, spark student curiosity, and inspire action in classrooms around the world.
Our live video calls bring the spirit of ocean exploration directly into for students ages 5-18. In these 30-minute virtual sessions, students explore the intersections of ocean science, media, and impact. Classroom Livestreams are a dynamic way to spark questions about the ocean and inspire the next generation of ocean advocates.
Currently available in English and Bahasa Indonesia, these resources bring ocean exploration to primary to secondary school learners with place-based, curriculum-aligned materials. Developed in collaboration with educators and aligned to local marine ecosystems, these books make marine science relevant, engaging, and accessible for young learners.
Tours aboard the OceanXplorer—the most advanced ocean research vessel of its kind—offer students, educators, and practitioners an inside look at the people and technologies driving ocean discovery. Participants engage with the importance of the ocean, learn about ocean-focused careers, and gain inspiration for how their own skills can serve the ocean.
