OceanX Education is on a mission to inspire and nurture the next generation of passionate ocean leaders to protect, preserve and harness our oceans for social and environmental impact. We’re a non-profit initiative offering young people insights into the importance of ocean conservation, research, and storytelling through hands-on experience and behind-the-scenes opportunities.

OceanXplorer Tours
Student Tours on the OceanXplorer, the most technologically advanced research vessel of its kind, give student participants a chance to explore the ship and spend time with the OceanX crew. Young Explorers
Young Explorers is a program that gives students ages 18-24 the opportunity to embark on an immersive multi-day experience onboard the OceanXplorer. Through workshops, hands-on activities, and independent study, Young Explorers acquire knowledge and skills in marine science, vessel operations, and digital media storytelling from world-class experts.
Early Career Explorers
Early Career Explorers is a program tailored for professionals aged 25+ with less than five years of experience. This multi-day, at-sea experience helps participants build support networks, expand their knowledge of ocean exploration methods, and strengthen their advocacy skills for ocean conservation.

OceanXplorers Tours
OceanXplorer Tours are open to primary and secondary school level teachers. These tours give participants a chance to tour the OceanXplorer, learn about OceanX exploration missions, and engage with the crew and education teams. OceanX Education supports life-long learning and invites everyone to join us in our efforts. To support anyone who is curious about ocean exploration, we offer various opportunities for public audiences around the globe. During our events and exhibits, the audience can join us on mission, hear from experts in ocean science and storytelling, and learn about the science and technology we employ in our expeditions.

OceanX Portal Experiences
The OceanX Portal is an immersive portable projection system, bringing an immersive small group experience to indoor locations. Locations of the OceanX Portal Experiences will be announced in early 2025.
OceanX Extended Reality
OceanX Extended Reality can be viewed in VR headsets, allowing us to bring large scale content to smaller physical space.
OceanXperience Museum Installation
OceanXperience, a global touring exhibition inspired by the National Geographic series “OceanXplorers,” puts visitors in the driver’s seat of a personalized adventure. Climb aboard an interactive replica of OceanXplorer, the most advanced research and filmmaking vessel in the world, and choose your own ocean exploration mission.
